Why Exercise Physiology

As a health professional, I don’t envision myself just as a specialist.  My knowledge and practice is to provide information to YOU in ways that YOU can benefit.  I am there in the treatment corner with you. My goal is to provide the tools and education so everyday people, like yourself, can understand what happens to your body when it changes due to injury, medical conditions or we are struggling to adapt.  A lot of it is normal and common and you CAN have control and influence your health.

You do have the ability to THRIVE and enjoy life, even as your body adapts.

We all need our own personal approach, whether that is a little guidance or in-depth planning, no person is beyond help.

I’d love to stay connected with you and assist you in injury prevention and/or injury management. So please click the button below and I’ll send you some great information, absolutely FREE!

What is Exercise Physiology

Do you experience ongoing stiffness and soreness in any areas ion your body?  Are you lacking confidence in your body strength and stability? Or maybe you’re concerned about your posture from long working hours? Only to have temporary relief from massage and still no change.  Is it starting to affect your activities, mood and even sleep?

Our Exercise Physiologist (EP) can treat and facilitate a specific program to get on top of these nagging injuries.

Seeing an Exercise Physiologist will benefit:

  • Beginner, intermediate and advanced gym-goers looking to enhance their body mobility and stability
  • Anyone experiencing ‘niggles’ or pinching during exercise and other activities
  • Busy workers with complaints of tightness, tension headaches or stiffness throughout the day
  • People who are concerned about their posture causing discomfort and pain
  • Anyone with soreness affecting sleep quality or often waking up with a stiff neck

What an EP does:

  • One-on-One individual EP assessments
  • Education and understanding of body awareness and your muscular movement patterns
  • Pain management and injury prevention
  • Mobilisation techniques:
    • Reduce feelings of restriction
    • Increase functional range of joints
    • Improve tendon and muscle health and integrity
  • Stabilisation exercise prescription:
    • Build foundational strength with strong technique focus
    • Manage identified weaknesses and enhance movement patterns
  • Self-management strategies to be implemented and build self-efficacy for ongoing maintenance

Private Health Rebate Available

Perform 360's EP program is great. It is tailored so that each person is able to focus on areas that they wish to improve with personalised programming that can also be completed outside of the gym. Not only does it improve your performance in training sessions, but I have personally seen improvement in everyday movement and am now able to recognise when I am not moving correctly and adjust accordingly. I can't recommend P360 enough!
